I am getting an error from base odoo saying that the global name 'model_name' is not defined when I try to update a database.

To fix the issue...

  1. Go to base odoo code

  2. go to base_action_rule | base_action_rule.py

  3. After line 319... enter a new line of code

if action_rule.model == 'servicedesk.ticket':
     continue
  1.  Once your database has been updated you can comment out that line of code
